Multi-Faith Chaplaincy (This is an independent service for the whole College)
What do we do?
We offer:
A multi faith chaplaincy for all people regardless of religious or cultural background
Opportunities for prayer, reflection and study – for anyone
Confidential support in times of personal crisis or celebration
Help for students and staff to explore the meaning of faith, values and attitudes in society
Links between the College and local faith communities.
How do we do it?
The Chaplaincy room (FO25) is located in Fleet Building, ground floor, opposite Cygnets Conference Room. Times of prayer for different faiths are on the door.
We operate a Chaplaincy Team of staff from within the College.
We offer acts of worship at significant festivals (Christmas and Easter).
We share in regular “Faith Days” which highlight the faiths of those within the wider community.
Chaplains offer regular appointment times. Appointments can be made in person at reception or by email.
The room is often available as a “Quiet Room” for space and reflection. You can check at Reception if anyone else has booked the room.
There is a locked box outside the Chaplaincy Room where you can leave prayer requests, requests for reflection or matters that you would like the team to be aware of. Or you can email prayer@weymouth.ac.uk
We have a Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Blog www.weymouthcollegemultifaith.blogspot.com
